Internal Welding Manager

Our production unit in Sjöbo is a production and production technical center for key components and spare parts for the whole world. Our production unit is now looking for an Internal Welding Manager.

About the job
In the role of Internal Welding Manager, you report to the Production Manager and you will independently lead and supervise the daily work in the welding department so that this is carried out in accordance with ISO 3834-2 and initiate that welding personnel are trained and developed regularly.

Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
• To check that welding data sheets and necessary instructions relating to welding are available before welding is started.
• To ensure that the welding personnel have the correct training and that certificates to this effect are documented with the Human Resources Manager.
• To plan and control welding according to the instructions in the quality manual and check that the result is satisfactory.
• To check that welding work is documented according to the instructions in the quality manual.
• Support with welding work in the ongoing production if necessary.

Your profile
To cope with this role, we see that you:
• Has workshop training or equivalent work experience with a focus on welding and with sufficient skills to pass a welding test for the company’s welding methods 141/142, 136, 111 and orbital both open and closed tongs.
• Has knowledge equivalent to IWE, IWT or IWS.
• Has documented experience from other workshop tasks such as drilling, threading and cutting.
• Has good knowledge of drawing reading and measuring technology.
• Speaks and writes Swedish and English without hindrance.
• Can independently plan your work and be solution-oriented.
• As a person is responsible, proactive and cooperative.
• Likes to come up with improvement proposals for the business and then be the driving force in implementing them.
• Has a B driver’s license and Truck license, which is a requirement.

It is meritorious if you
• Has active certificates for welding in stainless steel.
• Has documented experience of having worked with Lean and/or Six Sigma.
• Has documented group leadership experience.
