The SCANVENT High Velocity P/V Valve

MAXIMUM SAFETY, MINIMUM VAPOR LOSS, PROVEN PERFORMANCE

Engineered for the Future of Tank Venting

The SCANVENT high‑velocity pressure/vacuum (P/V) valve is engineered to deliver best‑in‑class vapor control, combining advanced safety performance with industry‑leading reliability. Developed through extensive research, SCANVENT achieves the optimal balance between minimum vapor loss and stable, non‑oscillating behavior—even under demanding conditions.

The SCANVENT High Velocity P/V Valve is designed for operators who demand reliability, efficiency, and compliance—without compromising on performance.

Developed through extensive research and field experience, SCANVENT sets a new standard in non‑oscillating vapor control, delivering unmatched stability and ultra‑low leakage in all operating conditions.

Whether installed on tankers, offshore units, or land‑based industrial facilities, SCANVENT ensures optimal VOC handling, improved safety, and reduced operating cost.

By controlling the pressure and vacuum, PVs minimize the loss of volatile substances through evaporation, which is crucial for maintaining product quality and reducing environmental impact.

Why Choose SCANVENT?

Designed for Demanding Environments
From marine vessels to refineries, terminals, and industrial sites—SCANVENT delivers reliable performance wherever pressure/vacuum protection is critical

The SCANVENT P/V valve meets or exceeds all current and upcoming regulations, including:

  • IMO Circ. 677, Rev. 1
  • ISO 15364:2021
  • ISO 16852:2016

How SCANVENT Work

High-Capacity Loading Mode

When the opening setting is reached, the valve lifts fully and instantly thanks to its magnet/weight/booster combination, ensuring high ventilation capacity and safe loading operations.

Voyage / Static Mode

A dedicated VOC valve manages small thermal venting flows during transit, re‑seating at its defined opening pressure. This guarantees:

  • Optimal VOC retention
  • Stable tank pressure
  • Minimum inert gas consumption

PANEL 1 — Optimized Operation  Tank VOC/inert gas pressure stays above the required threshold.

PANEL 2 — Full‑Lift Performance  Instant, high‑capacity venting during loading

PANEL 3 — Dedicated VOC Nozzle  Separate nozzle for small thermal venting flows—no main valve activation.

The result of this simple but efficient design is optimum VOC handling and minimum use of the inert gas plant – Flemming Hvam, Product Manager
