Electro-Pneumatic Type

SML-1000 Electropneumatic Tank Level Gauging System (TLG-EP) measures the tank level in tanks on all types of ships. The system uses a constant flow of air through pipes, and by measuring the counter pressure, the level of liquid in the tank is calculated.

The system consists of one or more central cabinets, with optional accessories such as non-return valves. Instrument air is supplied to each cabinet, where each channel has a dedicated flow controller and pressure sensor. Air is distributed into tubes and then routed to bubble out at the bottom of a tank. A central unit performs level calculation based on the liquid density and the counter pressure in each tank. The level can also be converted to volume. There is a small terminal for user readout of level and volume in the cabinet, but usually the data is interfaced to other systems onboard.

The system can also be used for water ingress detection in dry compartments.

SML-1000 is a partner product. Scanjet has a long and deep experience of selling and servicing Electropneumatic Tank Level Gauging System for all sorts of ships.
